DESCRIPTION
The Tor in Glastonbury is an ancient hill fort, with St. Michaels Bell tower standing on the very top. Many think that the Holy Grail is buried deep in the hill. People walk up the 500 foot Tor to get the view of what was the mythical "Avalon". This is King Arthur country and one can see for miles in all directions from the top. This elf figure in St. Michaels tower is actually my sister with a wizards hat! I had to paint this to remember how much we laughed at her "dancing on the Tor". She remembered to pack her wizard hat! Wow, that's planning ahead. |
